Medical/Allergies

Medical Care Plans are in place so that staff and parents are aware of the guidelines we will be working to in connection with administering medication in school.

Please note that we are only able to administer medication which has been prescribed by either a GP or Pharmacist. Any other unprescribed medication must be administered by parent/carer.

Castle View Enterprise Academy is committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all students with allergies. We are fully compliant with the latest UK guidance for allergy management in schools, with clear procedures in place for the prevention, recognition and emergency treatment of allergic reactions and anaphylaxis. Staff receive appropriate allergy and anaphylaxis training, emergency medication is readily accessible, and individual healthcare needs are carefully considered and communicated. We work closely with students, parents and carers to ensure that allergies are managed safely and consistently, enabling every young person to participate fully and confidently in school life.
