Infected

‘Get off me!’

The walker gnawed at my arm, my club was out of my reach. Punch after punch couldn’t move the bloodthirsty beast. BANG! A massive gunshot echoed through the ravaged streets managing to scare it off.

Struggling to even stand, I limped on trying to get away from the fact that I might be injured, throbbing from my head. A river of red blood poured down by bruised body. I had to press on.

Day after day passed and the pain felt like a burden and the wound turned into a black void. Death was certain.
