Even with televisions, toys and the internet, life in lockdown for most people isn’t much fun. But imagine how life might have been in a medieval lockdown, or isolating in ancient Rome…… well that’s exactly what we’d like you to do! The Year 7 and Year 8 History task due for the first week after half term is to create a postcard from the past. We thought we would share this as it could be an activity that is started over half term & a great household discussion point (see more)

Please find information on next week's sessions with Sunderland College. They would particularly like to highlight Tuesday's session. This is for any students who play sport regionally or nationally and who would like to combine their studies with a passion for a sport from football, boxing, rugby to even gymnastics. The session will provide more information on the college's Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme.

Loo Roll Challenge

Miss Gaffney has announced a new challenge for all students and staff at the Academy. This challenge is called the "Loo Roll Challenge". This will be a 2 weekly challenge that will start from today, so the final entries will be due by the 14th of May. We are planning on putting together an Art Exhibition of best competition entries and work that has been submitted via email. So your examples could make the cut.
