03 Jul 2014
On Thursday 03 July Castle View Enterprise Academy hosted its inaugural Cricket Academy Awards Dinner for Cricket Academy players and their parents. Also in attendance were students and parents from partner primary schools across the region, to celebrate their commitment to CVCA’s unique Talent Identification Programme.
CVCA welcomed special guest Gordon Muchall, ex England Under-19 captain and current Durham County Cricket Club player.
An entertaining evening was complemented with first-class in-house catering as the guests enjoyed a three-course meal, with wonderfully attentive service from our newly-appointed Lead Students. Awards were presented for batting, bowling and for the Players of the Year, together with scoring and umpiring awards presented by Mr Keith Sutherland (English Cricket Board Regional Educational Officer) and Mr Peter Connolly (Durham Cricket Board Secretary).
