Castle View Cricket Academy Annual Presentation Dinner 2016

19 Jul 2016

On Thursday 07 July, Castle View Cricket Academy held its third annual awards dinner.  The evening of joy witnessed current students and those who are budding cricketers from link primary schools celebrate their successes.

Following another excellent three-course meal, students from Castletown Primary and West Boldon Primary were inducted into Castle View Cricket Academy and will begin the next phases of their journey in September.  All of these students have successfully completed the Talent Identification Process and are very much looking forward to joining Castle View Enterprise Academy.

Guests were treated to a range of in-house performances from some of our Performing Arts students, who showcased their talents with confidence and maturity; before listening to our special guest, Mr Ian Nairn, (England Physical Disability Cricket Captain).  Iain shared his stories of winning the recent T20 World Cup as well as telling guests about his own route through the game; Iain was a real inspiration to all.

The evening concluded with acknowledgement being made to the Class of 2016, which contained nine students who were the first to complete the Cricket Academy journey.  These students are outstanding young man who are role models to many; they remain a credit to themselves, Castle View Cricket Academy and their parents.
