James signs for Blackpool

The Academy is delighted to receive the news that James Harrison, one of our Year 11 students, has signed a contract with Blackpool FC! James had been in talks to sign over Christmas and February Half Term. Things were postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic, however, the club asked him to sign over Zoom. James has been described by staff as a "powerhouse" and "one to watch" in the future. We offer our sincerest congratulations to James and wish him all the best in his career.

National Schools Breakfast Programme

A letter has been sent out to parents from Mr Tumelty regarding the National Schools Breakfast Programme. The Academy has been invited to enter a bid to access this, which, if successful, would provide free Breakfast Packs to students on two allocated days during the summer holidays. A survey has been sent out via email to gauge the level of interest from families of our students. Please see more to access the letter sent out to parents.
